Welcome to the Undergraduate Bioinformatics Club of the University of Waterloo, Winter 2019 term. Bioinformatics is a program here at the University that encompasses courses in math, biology, computer science, chemistry and, of course, bioinformatics.

As the program is one of the smaller programs at Waterloo, one of our main goals is try to connect students of the bioinformatics program as well as those interested in related area.

For this term, we plan to host tutorial nights where a few of us will talk about topics ranging from genome annotation to using R for statistical modeling and generating phylogenetic trees. Later on in the term, we will be hosting journal nights on interesting literature. And if you’re not into it, just come and hang out! Our door is always open. Of course if you have a topic that you would like to talk about or want us to talk about, feel free to send us an email

We’re always looking for new members, so please don’t hesitate and come check our club out!

We welcome students of all faculties.
