Dell OpenManage IT Assistant User's Guide
In environments with long network latency times, such as global WANs, the time to display the IT Assistant Status tab (located on the systems window) may be unacceptable. For a server that is running Server Administrator, you can reduce this time by running the statuspage.bat file located in the IT Assistant\bin directory. This file contains a script that suppresses the display of main system chassis information on the Status tab.
You can then view the status of the managed server by launching Server Administrator from IT Assistant. To launch Server Administrator, make sure Server Administrator is selected in the status tree and then click the Server Administrator button at the top of the Status tab.
NOTE: All of the managed node information once shown on the Status tab can be viewed in Server Administrator. Also, the script does not suppress information for managed nodes that are not running Server Administrator. |
To run the script, open a command-prompt window, change to the IT Assistant\bin directory, and type the following command:
statuspage.bat statusoff
Running this script suppresses the display of details on the IT Assistant Status tab for all managed systems with Server Administrator installed.
To re-enable the display of details on the Status tab, open a command-prompt window, change to the IT Assistant\bin directory, and type the following command:
statuspage.bat statuson
