I am a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, working with Prof. Sujaya Maiyya in the Data Systems Group (DSG). My current interests are vector databases, indexing, and query optimization.

Before Waterloo, I completed my Master of Computer Science at the University of Ottawa, where I worked with Prof. Verena Kantere.

Research

Vector data systems

I am studying approximate nearest neighbor search and adaptive vector indexing, including how indexes respond to workloads and runtime conditions.

Query optimization

My previous work investigates query plan representations and learned cost models for robust, explainable query optimization.
