We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our research team. In collaboration with Rogers, the team is building a benchmark for 5G edge computing platforms and applications. The team is studying a wide range of edge applications to understand their characteristics, build representative models, and build a dynamic and configurable benchmark. The team will use the benchmark to evaluate current edge offerings and explore new designs for edge platforms. The team is working with a group of startup companies and research labs to collect and understand diverse edge applications.

Responsibilities

·         Lead and coordinate the group’s effort in collecting and studying applications and data sets.

·         Coordinate with the collaborating groups

·         Mentor graduate students

·         Prepare quarterly reports

·         Help with writing papers and grants

Qualifications

·         A PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent, is required.

·         Experience in designing or deploying distributed systems is an asset.

·         Working with cloud technology is an asset.
