Abstract:
We provide summation formulas for the k-Fibonacci numbers (k ∈ Z, k ≥ 2) and their asymptotic equivalents in terms of generalized binomial
coefficients. Our main tools are the Lagrange inversion formula and one
of its consequences due to Hermite.
