Abstract:
We investigate the "Choix de Bruxelles" operation on integers
that replaces the number N by any of the numbers that can be obtained
by multiplying or dividing by 3 consecutive digits of the decimal
representation of N. Our approach is different from the original one
assuming halving or doubling, and while both approaches share some
similarities, they also differ in selected features. Our goal is to
investigate the modified operation and to describe its graph.
