Based on classical concepts, we introduce and study the Hurwitz transform of sequences, relating this transform to the Hankel transform of sequences. We also define and study associated polynomials, including links to related families of orthogonal polynomials. Examples of these associated polynomials are given within the context of Riordan arrays.
