| Computer Science at the University of Waterloo has undertaken two major initiatives in Health Informatics: the Center for Computer Science Research in Health Informatics (CCSRHI), an organization that catalyzes and fosters creativity focused on the development of Computer Science knowledge that is essential to the advancement of Health Informatics, and the Education Program for Health Informatics Professionals (EPHIP), a distance education program that enables IT professionals in the field to upgrade their competency in Health Informatics.
