Bio

I was a Research Fellow at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing (Logic and Algorithms in Database Theory and AI) in Fall 2023. I served as Visiting Faculty Scholar in the Discrete Algorithms Group at Google Research working with Pasin Manurangsi, Badih Ghazi, and Ravi Kumar. Previously, I was a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Computer Science at Duke University (co-supervised by Pankaj Agarwal and Jun Yang). I earned my Ph.D. from HKUST in August 2019 under the supervision of Ke Yi, and was a visiting scholar at UW-Madison working with Paris Koutris. I hold a B.Eng. from the School of Software, Tsinghua University (2014).

My other half, Victor Zhong, works on natural language processing at the University of Waterloo.
