About TLISP

This Software Database Group at the University of Waterloo has been at the forefront of main memory database system research in Canada since its inception.

Primary research interests of the LISP members centre around computer generated main memory database queries that integrate in a natural way with other main memory programming language. We seek to leverage the potential power inherent in current database technology, in real-time applications where both the footprint size, and stack usage associated with precompiled database queries can be tightly bounded, while providing performance comparable with that achieved through low level programming technics. The goal of this research it to provide simple, robust, and efficient methods of reformulating main memory access and update, as database queries.

Our group is actively involved in industrial research through collaborations with many industrial partners.
