  I met Markusio, "L'Homme au Doigts Magiques", in a campground in Poitiers. He was an itinerant magician who traveled around France doing shows. His real name was Henri Vogelsinger, born in Lille in 1910, died around 2007 in Paris. His parents were Samuel Vogelsinger (July 27 1871, Wesniez, Poland -- June 18 1941, Lille) and Rosalie Krochmal (December 14 1869, Burostoyn, Poland -- March 1 1926, Lille).
