Dear Editor: In Jennifer Bain's perky piece about the Star's new astrologer ["New Spin on the Zodiac", July 19], one important piece of information was left out: astrology is pure quackery, a pseudoscience with no evidence that it works and abundant evidence that it is garbage. Why the Star would continue to deliberately misinform its readers with such nonsense is beyond me. Jeffrey Shallit
This is the letter as written; the Star edited my letter so the published version is slightly different.
