Dear Editor:

So Mayor Richard Christy is once again sucking up to the nobility
by spending $800 of our hard-earned tax money for a bronze plaque
to commemorate Lord Kitchener.  It appears he didn't learn a thing
from his November 1995 boondoggle where he spent thousands for
a similar effort, to nearly universal disapproval.

Come next election, I hope voters will remember and give
"King Richard" the boot.
