Sergey Gorbunov

I'm an Assistant Professor at University of Waterloo (CrySP group).

I'm on leave this year @Algorand.

My interests range from cryptography to design of secure large scale systems, computer networks and protocols. I study how to build secure systems in untrusted, distributed infrastructures. I work with secure hardware, crypto, lattices, distributed databases, blockchains, and more.

I taught a topics course in computing on encrypted data (cs858), and computer security and privacy (cs458/658) in f'16.

I enjoy working with industry and (especially) start-ups on selected projects.
