Simon Abelard

2018-2019 Postdoctoral fellow at the Symbolic Computation Group (University of Waterloo, Ontario)

I am working with Éric Schost on computing integral bases of algebraic function fields. As a part of my contract, I also teach the course CS 240E "Algorithms and data structures" (enriched).

2015-2018 Ph.D. candidate at Université de Lorraine

My subject was point-counting on curves defined over finite fields, and its interactions with polynomial systems. My Ph.D. was funded by the French Ministry for Research and Higher Education, and as a part of my contract with the Université de Lorraine, I taught at Mines Nancy, for a total of 192 hrs. A complete list of teaching and publications can be found in the dedicated sections.

2011-2015 Bachelor and Master at ENS Cachan (now ENS Paris-Saclay)
