In late August 2000 I finally starting building a roll off roof observatory
with the help of Dan Hergott (ex: He has done all the work 8-). We used
industrial strength overhead door tracks to roll the roof to the east.
(trees are my main limiting view - more so to the east).
The outside dimensions are 6'-8". The structure rests on 4 6" concrete posts
(I Should have used 8" concrete posts -- have had light shifting)
