Bonjour, I am Damien 👋. I hold a PhD in Computer Science from the HCI Lab of the University of Waterloo where I was advised by Daniel Vogel, Edward Lank, Géry Casiez and Sylvain Malacria. My long term goal is to improve how we communicate science, either in the way we express it, or by developing novel tools for those who produce and consume scientific information. My current research interests include (but are not limited to):
- Visualizing information (see Charagraph and ChartDetective)
- Augmenting digital documents (see Chameleon, Statslator, and my PhD thesis)
- Designing interactive systems (see supercharging trial-and-error)
