Kepler's Aa tiling is a real curiosity. I tried to do justice to the fairly good depiction of its construction given in Tilings and Patterns. Probably I should have used a smaller patch of tiles in (c) and zoomed in a little closer, but on the whole I like how this figure shows the multiple scales at which this tiling operates. You have to understand the structure at one scale before taking it for granted at the next smaller scale.
