This manual provides the information you need to install the operating system software drivers for Microsoft® Windows NT®, Windows® 2000, Windows Server 2003, Novell® NetWare®, and Red Hat Linux.

NOTE: Please see the PERC 4/Di User's Guide to check which operating systems a particular Dell server supports.

Operating System Drivers

PERC 4/Di device drivers for the following operating systems are provided:

• Windows NT 4.0, Server, Terminal Server, and Enterprise
  
  
• Windows 2000 Data Center, Server, Advanced Server, and Small Business Servers (SBS)
  
  
• Windows Server 2003
  
  
• Novell NetWare 5.x, 6.x, and Small Business Servers (SBS)
  
  
• Red Hat Linux 7.x, 8.x, and Advanced Server 2.1
  
  

Features

The PERC 4/Di device drivers are provided on the Dell™ OpenManage™ Server Assistant® CD. The latest drivers can be obtained from the Dell | Support web site at http://support.dell.com.

The PERC 4/Di drivers support up to 40 logical drives per controller.
