Description
The RAID Configuration→ Import/Export→ Import function imports a RAID configuration package from a file to the image
server. After you import an image to the system, you can use it to configure the
RAID setting of the target systems.
Prerequisites
A RAID configuration package file must reside in a local directory on the image server. The image server must have at least one storage location.
Operations and Inputs
 |
NOTE: (*) indicates a required field or task. |
- Enter the following parameters for importing the RAID configuration
package:
- RAID package file location — The file name and path of the package file to be imported to the system.
Format the name and path as shown in the following example:
C:\dell\openmanage\netstart\mobilepkg\raid\raid0.zip
- Package name — The imported package name. If you do not enter a name, Remote Install
uses the default name stored in the package file.
- Location — The location at which to store the package.
- Click Import to import the package.
Expected Results
The browser indicates that it is busy as it waits for a response from the
image server. If the import is successful, the imported package appears under RAID
Configuration→ Properties→
List.
Possible Errors
Messages similar to the following may appear. The wording may vary.
- The package file is not accessible to the image server.
- The package file name already exists.
- There is not enough space in the storage to import the package.
Subsequent Operations
After you import a RAID package, you can apply it to target systems to update
their RAID settings.
