RAID Configuration→ Import/Export→ Export Function

Description

The RAID Configuration→ Import/Export→ Export function exports a RAID configuration package from the image server to a file. You can transfer or import this file to other image servers. 

Prerequisites

A RAID configuration package file must reside in a local directory on the image server.

Operations and Inputs

NOTE: (*) indicates a required field or task.

1. Enter the following parameters for exporting the RAID configuration package:   
   
   
   • Raid package name for selection — The name of the package to be exported.
     
     
   • Export package filename with path — A package filename and path. Format the name and path as shown in the following example:
     
     C:\ExportPackage\package.zip
     
     The specified directory must be accessible to the image server.
     
     
2. Click Export to export the package.

Expected Results

The browser indicates that it is busy waiting for response from the image server. If the export is successful, Remote Install creates a new file with the specified name to hold the exported package. 

Possible Errors

Messages similar to the following may appear. The wording may vary.

• The package filename is in a directory not accessible to the image server.
  
  
• The exported package file name already exists.

Subsequent Operations

After you export the package, you can transfer or import it to other image server.
