Description
The Logs→ Properties→ Activity function displays the following information about activities that have
occurred or are occurring on a target system:
- Time — The time stamp of the activity.
- Message — A string that describes the activity.
- User — The user that performed the activity.
- System Name — The Service Tag of the target system with which the activity is associated.
- Severity — The severity level of the event. The two severity levels are Informational
and Error. Informational indicates that the event provides
information only. Error indicates an error condition occured.

- Filter activities
- Select the activity start date from the Calendar box. Click the
(calendar) button
to the far right of this box to select the date from a
calendar.
- Select the activity end date from the Calendar box. Click the
button to the far right of this box to select the date from a
calendar.
- Select the maximum number of activities to display.
- Set the log detail level; the values are Basic or Advanced.
- Click Refresh.
- Sort activities
Click the Time, User, or System Type header of the Activities
table to sort activities by that attribute.
- Export log
Click Save As and browse for the desired destination of the log file.
If you want, you can change the default log file name.
Expected Results
Remote Install filters, sorts, or exports the activities log table accordingly.
Possible Errors
Messages similar to the following may appear. The wording may vary.
- The start time is after the end time.
This message indicates that you have entered a start time that is later than
the end time.
