The Images→
Import/Export→
Export function enables you to export an image from the image server to a file
on the image server. You can then transfer the exported file by importing it to other
image servers.
Prerequisites
An image must exist in configured storage.
Operations and Inputs

- Enter the parameters for an image export.
- Image name (*) — Select an image from the image drop-down menu.
- Destination file (*) — Enter the intended file name for the exported image, such as C:\temp\myExportedImage.zip.
The export destination must be local to the system. The file extension
must be .zip or .gz.
- Click Export to start the image export.
Expected Results
The browser remains busy waiting for a system response. After the image
export process has started, you can monitor the import process by selecting Image→ List and clicking the image name hot link.
Possible Errors
Messages similar to the following may appear. The wording may vary.
- Wrong image file name format.
- Image file is specified in a location not accessible to the image server.
- There is not enough space in the server to save the exported image.
Subsequent Operations
After you export the image, you can transfer it by importing it to image
servers.
