Description
The Preferences→ General Settings→ Web
Server→ Properties function enables you to set
preferences for the HTTPS server used by the Dell OpenManage systems management software solution.
Prerequisites
None.
Operations and Inputs
- Specify the following server parameters in the attribute/value table:
- Session Timeout (Seconds) — Select Disable or Enable;
if you select Enable, select a timeout interval from the numeric
scroll box to the right of this item.
- HTTPS Port — Select Use Default or Use. If you select Use
Default, the Dell OpenManage™ systems management software solution uses the default HTTPS IP
port, 1311. If you select Use, specify the IP port you want the
Dell OpenManage systems management software solution to use in the text box to the right of this item.
- IP Address to Bind to — Select All or Specific; if you
select Specific, specify the IP address in the text box to the
right of this item.
- SMTP Server Name (or IP Address) — Specify the SMTP server that the
Dell OpenManage systems management software solution uses to send e-mail.
- DNS Suffix for SMTP Server — Specify the DNS suffix (also called the domain) of the SMTP server. This
suffix is usually the group of dot-separated strings after the "@" symbol in an e-mail address.
- Command Log Size — Specify the maximum size of the command log in
megabytes (MB) using the scroll box to the right of this item. When the
command log reaches this limit, entries begin to be deleted, oldest
entries first.
- Support Link — Enter the default https address to which the Support
button on the global navigation bar connects.
- Click Apply Changes.

Subsequent Operations
You can return to Remote Install by clicking Return to
Remote Install Vx.y Build z on the global navigation
bar, where x, y, and z are numbers
that indicate version number and build number for your product.
