Before you call...
You need to be at your computer with your
software running and the product documentation at hand.
The technician may ask for the following:
- Your
address and telephone number
- The name
and model number of the product you are calling about
- The serial
number and service tag of the product
- The names
and version numbers of the software you are using to operate the product
- The name
and version number of the operating system you are using
- The
computer type (manufacturer and model number)
- Expansion
boards or add-in cards in your computer
- The amount
of memory in your computer
