Information about Paper Summaries
-
Follow the instructions.
-
I will mark a random subset of the paper summaries
(i.e., I will pick some of the papers at random
and mark all summaries written for that paper).
-
I will mark at least one of the first papers
or two to provide feedback early on.
-
Follow the instructions and guidelines provided.
-
You must bring printed summaries to class with you.
-
You need all summaries as your ticket to get into class.
If you are missing a print out of your summary you don't
get into class.
This ensures that everyone reads the papers, including those
who are not taking the course for credit.
-
If you are going to miss class mail me your summaries before
class starts.
-
Follow the guidelines provided.
- 3/4 of a page means 3/4 of a page.
One line over and you get a grade of 0.

-
Grades will be:
-

-
1 - poorly done, missing some points, lots of spelling/grammar mistakes
-
2 - fairly well done but missing a key point or minor spelling/grammar problems
-
3 - very well done
