Grace Hopper Attendees

What is the Grace Hopper Celebration?

The Grace Hopper Celebration is the world's largest conference for technical women that provides access to sessions covering a wide range of subjects and professional development for all career levels.

Leading researchers present their work, while special sessions focus on the role of women in today’s technology fields, including computer science, information technology, research, and engineering.

Grace Hopper Celebration 2019 — a recap by our students who attended this inspiring event

Below is a reflection of a second-year computer science master’s student and first-time GHC attendee —

“The GHC experience was very empowering. I learned how women have changed their communities and world for the better. This motivated me to follow my passions and one day I might even be able to improve the life experience for others at a scale I deemed as impossible. GHC also showed me how the consequence of women not being represented in the STEM world for so many years is deeper than one would think.”
