We have two, likely related, problems:
We are expected to and agree to achieve specific things.
The reality of our kind of work is that there's often a competition between what has to happen today, and what we've told our clients we're planning to get done for them.
Realistic plans must be made in the context of all of the work we do.
Our list of "current" work, is very large, and contains a lot of old work, so it's anything but current.
We don't need a separate list of work being done now, as that's easy to obtain.
So it seems we should either eliminate it, or use it properly.
