His Aerial Photos

I am not a pilot. But I love to look out the window when I'm in a plane. Especially when the plane is flying. I ALWAYS ask for a window seat. These are just some photos I've taken during my time in the sky.
University of Waterloo
My friend Joe West is a pilot, and he took me out for a flight around Waterloo. This is a picture of the William G. Davis Centre for Computer Research (Davis Centre, or simply DC, for short). It's where my office is. I also took some pictures of the UW campus. (pic1, pic2, pic3, pic4 Some of these are scaled-down versions)
Uptown Waterloo
While flying with Joe, I also took this picture of uptown Waterloo. And here is a picture of Waterloo Park.
Downtown Ottawa
This is on of my best aerial pictures. You can see Parliament Hill, the National Art Gallery, National Art Centre, University of Ottawa, Rideau Canal, Museum of Civilization, Supreme Court of Canada, Chateau Laurier, the War Memorial, etc.
Here is a similar photo, with a wider field of view. Someone annotated one of the images... see it here. The page I found it on is here. The image was also used by Boeing when they delivered the C-17 airlifters to the Canadian Government. Here it is.
Mount St. Helens
This volcano, located in southern Washington state, errupted on May 18, 1980. Here is some more information about it. In the lower-right, you can see the road leading to the Windy Ridge Viewpoint.
Downtown Kelowna
Kelowna is located in the Okanagan Valley in the central interior of British Columbia, Canada. You can see the bridge to Westbank (lower left), a partially completed Skyreach Place, and the road leading up Knox Mountain.
Calgary's Olympic Venues
The 1988 Olympic Winter Games were hosted by Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Near the white patch in this photo, you can see the bobsled and luge runs, as well as the ski jumps.
Jasper, Alberta
This photo of Jasper, Alberta, was actually taken from the top of Whistler's Mountain (2285 m).
University of British Columbia
You can see the three Gage towers, Buchanan, and SW Marine Drive, but not much else.
Richmond, BC
You can see part of Richmond in the foreground. The patch of green left of the centre is Vancouver International Airport. In the distance, above the airport, you can see downtown Vancouver right next to Stanley Park.
Piece of Toronto
This was taken from the observation deck of the CN Tower, a height of 342 m (1122 feet). The Rubik's Cube thing is a Chapters store which is about a block from CityTV and the original Speaker's Corner (out of view). Not much else to say about this one.
Waikiki, Hawaii
This is the view of Waikiki from the lookout deck on top of Diamon Head.
Edinburgh, Scotland
View from Edinburgh Castle in Scotland, looking north-west. The street running across the centre of the picture is Princes Street.
Amsterdam
You can see fields of brighly-coloured tulips in this picture that I took as my plane departed from Amsterdam.
San Diego Zoo Skyfari
This photo, taken from the Skyfari aerial tram at the San Diego Zoo, shows the Giant Panda Research Station. You can even see one of the panda bears in the shot.
